Sri Lanka's team got a big setback, this player was out of T20 World Cup 2022

The Sri Lankan team has suffered a major setback at the beginning of the T20 World Cup 2022. Dushmantha Chamira, one of the team’s leading bowlers, has been ruled out of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia due to injury.

The Sri Lankan team, who lost the first match of the T20 World Cup 2022 badly, got a resounding victory in the second match, but in the meantime Sri Lanka’s cricket team has suffered a major setback at the beginning of the tournament itself. Dushmantha Chamira, one of the team’s leading bowlers, has been ruled out of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia due to injury.

According to Cricbuzz, Sri Lankan fast bowler Dushmantha Chamira has been ruled out of the rest of the T20 World Cup. The pacer has once again suffered a severe injury. Chamira was ruled out of the 2022 Asia Cup due to an injury, but after being fully fit, she was included in the T20 World Cup squad, where she played the first two matches.

The 30-year-old played a key role in Sri Lanka’s impressive 79-run victory against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Geelong. He took wickets and gave a total of 15 runs. He also took a wicket against Namibia, but in that match the team had to face defeat due to the batsmen.

He suffered an injury while bowling the last over of his spell against UAE and went off the field in pain. Sri Lankan batsman Danushka Gunathilaka and fast bowler Pramod Madushan are also battling fitness issues. Both players have muscle strain. Now it remains to be seen what decision the Sri Lanka Cricket Board takes.

However, the Sri Lankan team has four reserve players, including Ashen Bandera, Praveen Jayavikrama, Dinesh Chandimal and Nuwanidu Fernando. It is believed that one of these players will be given a chance in place of Dushmantha Chamira in the final fifty. However, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has not yet confirmed his exit.
